Setareh is doing just fine week 1 of high school. She seems motivated to get work done, be organized, be on time and be involved. I hope this enthusiasm sticks with her throughout the year and her life. These skills are 1/2 the battle of life. Plus she is really enjoying school. Whew! Tabitha is going through some rough times and I feel for her - I was short and immature as she is tall and dramatic. Setareh has great empathy for Tab and I hope continues to support her friend but stays clear of the drama. Setareh has had some wise words lately:
Setareh saw the value in money spent for volleyball camp and not on concert tickets. Yesterday in the car after a fun evening being social at the 1st (and probably her last) back to school stomp Setareh says:
"ugh I am so done with people." Cutie!
Ari too has been showing great maturity following his home alone routine, wearing his new soccer protective head band. When I asked him what the coach said, I was beaming inside when Ari said, "the coach said everybody should wear one of those." Score 1 for mom. I also like that Ari wanted a teacher that was highly structured and strict. Can't wait to see all about Mrs. Roberts at back to school night next week.
Proud of my little big people!
