1st Week of School

1st, I barely understand Arian's 4th grade homework - i am so proud he and Baba think it's fun.  I can only imagine what's in store for the rest of the year.  I am looking forward to back-to-school night tonight to find out exactly what is in store.  Proud of my boy.

I am pretty tired this week - every morning 5am up and out of the house by 7am - what I have to do this 175 more times this year. OY It's a good thing and Setareh is really starting strong. I am very proud of her.  I HATE mean girls and I HATE that someone was so insecure that they needed to make my kind and confident girl feel bad for even a second.  I hope Setareh remembers what we talked about this morning in the car...she was born confident!  When I saw that baby girl for the 1st time, her eyes were focused and she truly looked around the room with a look of confidence, "I got this world, watch out, here I am!" On the way to school she was nervous for 1st Volleyball game this afternoon - and then, when she was getting out of the car she saw Isaac...it was sweet to see her (and him) happy to see each other and I saw Setareh feel it ease seeing him. Then I cried as  I drove away both happy tears and my baby is all grown up tears.  I've got 2 more hours until it's time to see her Volleyball action. Can't wait! So PROUD!
